Bruno Spoerri (1935) is a real cult figure. This electronic jazz pioneer worked with members of the kraut rockers of CAN, legendary progressive jazz/electronic musicians like Klaus Weiss and Joel Vandroogenbroeck and recently with members of Demdike Stare, composes music for films, commercials and experimented early on with primitive sampling techniques.
Bruno also composed a sort of primal Nintendo themes for the German equivalents of It’s A Knock Out and various Takeshi’s Castle style fantasy sports – as well as educational robot sex movies and cinematic art school abnormalities.
His music was recently reissued by the English Finders Keepers Records. For FAQ Festival he will provide a fully electronic set with custom built instruments and in peculiar the rare Lyricon wind synth.
